London has overtaken "The City" as fashion capital of the world / Londres se ha apoderado de "La Ciudad" como capital de la moda

For several years, NYC has been on the #1 spot but now British fashion has been a whirlwind in this industry and now is claiming to be the top fashion capital of the world, according to a study by Global Language Monitor. 
This impact is caused by the sudden death of the artistic fashion designer Alexander McQueen and Catherine Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.  She developed a fashionable reputation with her impecable style and also by wearing a McQueen wedding gown from Sarah Burton, now the head designer.
Reporters are saying that a cause for the fall of New York to the second spot might be  the end of "Sex and the City" era. Could it be?
As the ranking continues, we can see that they didn't mention Bogotá, a great fashion city in Latin America, actually experts believe that has potential as Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.
Mexico City is on the 22nd and probably will be shifting upwards in a few years due to designers like Christian Cota and Louis Verdad, hopefully we can make it to the top ten.
